About Cernary
A product research site for people who want the paper trail, not just the verdict.
What we do
Cernary reviews and compares kitchen gear: sous vide circulators, vacuum sealers, instant-read thermometers, espresso scales, knife sharpening systems. For each product we read the manufacturer specs, the manual, published independent measurements and credible owner reports, and we write down where they agree and where they don't. Every factual claim on the site gets a numbered ledger entry with its source, so you can check our work instead of taking our word for it. The full process is on the methodology page.
We are not neutral about one thing: we think a buying guide that won't tell you what to avoid isn't worth reading. Our verdicts state who should skip a product as plainly as who should buy it.
How the site is built
The research and drafting pipeline is human-directed and AI-assisted. An editor sets the scope for each article, sources are pulled and checked against the actual manufacturer pages and manuals, and drafts run through an AI-assisted writing step before a human edits and publishes them. We say so here instead of leaving you to guess, and we detail exactly what that pipeline does and does not do on the editorial policy page.
How Cernary makes money
As of this writing, Cernary has no affiliate relationships and earns nothing from the links on the site. Cernary is not yet enrolled in the Amazon Associates program; product links currently point to manufacturer pages. If that changes, every affected page will disclose it at the top of the article and next to each link, and the affiliate disclosure page will state the current arrangement plainly. Commissions, if and when they exist, will never be allowed to touch a verdict.
Who runs Cernary
Cernary is operated by Wizards Down Under Pty Ltd, ABN 52 687 674 291, a company registered in Australia.
